MBA Multidisciplinary Action Projects (MAP)

Every MBA student at Ross, regardless of degree program, participates in the required Multidisciplinary Action Project (MAP) course. Last academic year Ross MBA students successfully completed over 130 MBA MAP projects across all 5 degree programs. For many students, it is one of the most impactful and memorable experiences of their MBA journey.

Full-Time MBA

The degree program that launched MAP: Before wrapping up their first year of the two-year program; full-time MBA students put their core coursework to work. Students commit to projects full-time for 7 weeks.

Students average 5 years of work experience

Program runs for 7 weeks (March - April), full time

Time commitment is typically 40 hours/week/student with a 5-day on-site component

Proposals are accepted from August - November

Executive MBA

Leaders headed to the next level: In conjunction with their recent learnings Executive MBA students pool their collective experience and collaborate with sponsors on complex business projects.

Students are working full-time and average 15 years of work experience

Program runs for 12 weeks (September - December)

Time commitment is up to 20 hours/week/student with a 3-day on-site component

Proposals are accepted from March - June

Weekend MBA

Working while learning: Weekend MBA students bring the best of both worlds to MAP - their own experience and the core Ross experience. Students seek a variety of project topics and come ready to contribute.

Students are working full-time and average 8 years of work experience

Program runs for 14 weeks (January - April)

Time commitment is up to 20 hours/week/student with a 3-day on-site component

Proposals are accepted from August - November

Online MBA

Flexibility that enables success: Within Ross’ most flexible MBA program, MAP provides the bridge for Online MBA students between business concepts and real-world application. Students have flexible class schedules and utilize MAP to further practice their skills.

Students are working full-time and average 7 years of work experience

Program runs for 14 weeks (September - December)

Time commitment is up to 20 hours/week/student with a 3-day on-site component; though some virtual projects permitted

Proposals are accepted from March - June
